Los Angeles, New York, Torontyo: InvestTech Systems Consulting, Inc., the leading Investment Technology and Investment Operations consulting firm for institutional investment managers, has again contributed integration and implementation resources to the successful deployment of Eagle Investment Systems’ software for a North American money management firm.
The implementation of Eagle PACE™ Data Warehouse and Eagle Reference Manager was for an investment manager who is one of the largest consumers of Bloomberg data in the U.S. The client replaced its in-house developed data warehouse to standardize on a vendor solution and improve data quality throughout the organization. The solution also provided the capability to analyze historic Bloomberg data and back-test predictive algorithms.
InvestTech led the effort to load the entire set of historic Bloomberg Back Office data files for worldwide equities dating back to the late 1970’s, as well asdaily processing of the same set of data going forward. InvestTech consulted with the client, Bloomberg, and the Eagle team, and developed the integration to load the Bloomberg files for over 120,000 securities into Eagle PACE on a daily basis. To maximize efficiency and speed, InvestTech built a bulk-load process. Other services provided included business and data analysis, interface development, data validation, reconciliation and end-to-end testing.
