InvestTech was engaged by a $120 billion public pension plan to conduct a strategic data architecture assessment project to help design the future state enterprise data strategy and execution road-map to support the business growth requirements over the next 5-10 years. InvestTech was also selected to define the firm-wide requirements for reference data and completed a RFP for distribution to the reference data vendor. This process included the requirements for complex derivatives and risk data management.

InvestTech has established itself as one of the thought leaders on the buy-side for Data Strategy and Enterprise Data Management (EDM). InvestTech has developed an EDM Maturity Model and has assisted many large investment firms through the maturity model implementation process.

 

InvestTech Solution

InvestTech completed a current state assessment of the firm’s data architecture and organization capabilities. This was followed with the design and recommendations for the future state architecture and EDM implementation road-map.

Results

InvestTech delivered recommendations across all EDM Maturity Model components including:

The firm adopted the recommendations and established a new Data Governance Organization that has responsibility for guiding the data strategy and reporting firm-wide data quality metrics.
