InvestTech expands with the addition of industry experts as heads of their Alternative Investments, Front Office and Business Development Practices
Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Toronto & London – November 6, 2008 – InvestTech Systems Consulting, Inc., the leading IT and operations consultancy for institutional investors, announced that the firm will significantly broaden its service offering with the hiring of several experienced industry veterans to lead the areas of Alternative Investments, Front Office Trading Systems and Business Development. InvestTech’s growth extends to other business areas including risk management, execution and process improvement.
Engaged by many of the leading hedge funds, retirement pension plans, foundations and endowments as well as global/international institutional asset managers, InvestTech is further expanding to meet the increased demand for its professional services. Three new members to InvestTech’s leadership have joined its team of experts; Pam Bloom as Director of the Alternative Asset Management Practice, Scott Villiers as Director of the Front Office Practice and Todd Jones as Manager of Business Development. In addition to this expansion of the Management Team, InvestTech also adds several Senior Consultants. This talent acquisition provides InvestTech with an additional 60+ years of experience in the investment management field collectively amongst the newest InvestTech team members.
Pam Bloom has over 20 years experience in the selection, implementation and support of portfolio management systems for boutique buy-side managers. She returns to InvestTech after heading the Information Systems and Technology department at Ares Management LLC, a global alternative asset manager. Ms. Bloom’s experience in front, middle and back office processing for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, and other Capital Market and structured funds including CDO’s and CLO’s makes her uniquely qualified for this position. She has detailed knowledge surrounding trading, compliance, reporting and performance of the many alternative asset classes including privates, syndicated loans, high-yield bonds, swaps etc. Ms. Bloom earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) registered in the state of California.
Scott Villiers is a highly skilled and dynamic manager with extensive experience in investment management systems, particularly in trading systems and financial markets. His technical and business expertise in the management and implementation of all types of trading systems and operations spans more than 15 years. Mr. Villiers is a capable project manager with knowledge, experience and practical application in many areas of investment technology systems, including strategic planning and best practice evaluation skills. Prior to InvestTech, Mr. Villiers was Director of Implementations, Asia-Pacific for Charles River Development where he was responsible for all of Charles River’s Implementation Services and personnel for the Asia-Pacific region. He was relocated from San Francisco to Australia by Charles River to take on this role after success as a Senior Manager responsible for CRD’s Western US region. Mr. Villiers has also traveled extensively, with time spent working in the USA, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and London as well as many years in Australia and he is now making a welcome return to the industry in the United States.
Todd Jones has over 10 years of experience specializing in technology for financial institutions including; front, middle and back-office systems for investment management firms and data warehousing and reference data management solutions for buy-side and sell-side institutions. Prior to InvestTech Mr. Jones was responsible for sales at DST International in the Western and Mid-Western US, where he was tasked with growing the client base of DSTi’s Performance Measurement, Attribution, Credit Risk, Portfolio Accounting and Data Warehouse solution set. Mr. Jones started his career in financial services technology with GoldenSource (formerly Financial Technologies International), a provider of Enterprise Data Management solutions.
